Corporate Illustration Exploration

Creating a defined illustration style and cohesive color palette allows any new assets to contribute to a brand library. This mix-and-match strategic approach sets up a brand team with an asset library, improving brand fluidity among team members and saves time.

Initial Sketches — Exploring elements that could be useful in multiple industries and use-cases: Human figures, icons, abstract design tiles, and repeatable background elements.

Initial Black and White Line Work — I’m going to preserve this layer as-is before diving into color. Color means much of the line work will go away, “abstract design tiles” will be masked inside their squares, etc. This way, if I ever need to start over or pull original elements to iterate upon, I haven’t lost anything in the process.

Final Illustrations — I finalized line work and defined a cohesive color palette. This help unify the these elements as a set of assets. These were designed to be able to mix-and-match and act as a basis on which to build a brand illustration library.
