SchoolStatus Rebrand
Role / Art Director & Lead Designer
Background
SchoolStatus acquired six other EdTech brands and required a rebrand to represent the unified platforms. The team went through a renaming exercise, addressed voice & tone, and audience personas. We strategically built brand elements, assuring a scalable look and feel that would work across assets and channels to fit in the B2B space and appeal to K-12 district leaders.
Solution
To differentiate product lines, each got sub-branded logos and differentiated colorways. Working within a quasi-analogous color scheme, the products feel distinct, yet due to hue and saturation considerations, work beautifully when presented together. I presented the colorway solution, how it would work in different asset types, and proposed shapes, UI aesthetics, data vis, and illustration styles to the team. I then set out to build templates and Figma component libraries for a team of freelancers to help build assets from.
Impact
In the first quarter after launch, the marketing department secured over 550 Marketing Qualified Leads for SchoolStatus. The website increased engaged sessions by 81% in the first month of the site going live.
