Five Crows

Role / Web Design & Branding

Background

The gallery and art co-op, Five Crows, was looking to update their branding and website to keep pace with the up-and-coming scene in Natick Center. They wanted to maintain their artsy, approachable and homemade aesthetic, but needed a more modern and user-friendly website for consignees and customers alike.

Solution

I explored the core mission of Five Crows and boiled it down to building and maintaining a community of artists and art appreciators. I simplified their logo and introduced a warm, rounded sans serif font. We epitomized their mission with the tagline “Friendly community. Fearless creators.” When tackling the website redesign, I worked mobile-first and made sure their artists’ pages and community events were easy to find and explore deeper.

Impact

With a clearer emphasis on the artists’ work, Five Crows has signed 8 new consignees in the past month and a half. The foot traffic both in-store and online have also increased with the strengthened clarity of their mission and offerings.
